RLC Special Services
As Christians we gather together both to celebrate milestones and mourn the loss of loved ones.
During these special times of transition in your family, please contact either the church office or the pastor directly for assistance.
Baptisms
BAPTISMS are held at any of the regularly scheduled worship services, or if necessary, at a specially appointed time. Parents who would like their first child baptized are asked to meet with the pastor for a short informational session before the baptismal date. Infants who are baptized are placed on the cradle roll and will start receiving special mailings before they are eligible for Sunday School.
Weddings
WEDDINGS must be scheduled in consultation with the pastor. Couples who are married at Rushford Lutheran, or at a wedding venue, are expected to complete Pre-Marital Counseling with the pastor. Information on wedding expectations, the service outline, and costs are available through the church office.
Weddings are for RLC members only.
Funerals and Memorial Services
Upon the death of a loved one, please contact the pastor as soon as possible. Not only will the pastor assist you in beginning the grieving process, he/she will assist in the planning of a Christ-Centered funeral or memorial service. The family or the funeral director should also make contact with the cemetery as soon as possible to begin arrangements.
Funerals are for RLC members only.
