Fall Kick-Off – September 7th at 4:00 at Creekside Park. All students grades 7-12 are invited to Creekside Park Sunday, September 7th at 4:00 PM for the community Fall Kick-off! Slap Happy Comedy will begin the afternoon with an improv comedy show, then there will be food, games, color wars, and water wars. Please dress to get messy and wet and be sure to bring a towel.
Youth Group Speaker, Jeannie from Women’s Shelter in Rochester – September 14th at 6:30 at RLC. The Women’s Shelter provides emergency housing not only for women but also children (and sometimes men) that are fleeing domestic violence. Ms. Thompson will be sharing about the work that they do, as well as ways students can support this work, and recognize signs of crisis in their peers. This will be excellent to learn before October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. All students in grades 7-12 are encouraged to attend. Adults are also encouraged to attend, but to give priority seating to students.
RP Valley Youth Group Community Chore Day – September 28th from 1:00 – 3:00. If you or someone you know has a chore that they need help with, please fill out a form and place in the black mailbox, OR contact Kristin by 09/24. Tasks will be divided up between students and leaders throughout the community.
