Christmas Giving Opportunities

Robin Honken · October 5, 2025 ·

Operation Christmas Child – There will be shoeboxes available throughout the church to take home and fill. You can also drop off items at the church that will be used to fill shoeboxes. Items needed would be those that children would love to play with and would fit in a shoebox, including yoyo’s, cars, travel games, jump ropes, dolls, etc. A packing party  will be held in early November for those who would like to help.

Christmas in Fillmore County – RLC is sponsoring again this year. Tags are found on the tree in the Narthex. Unwrapped gifts are due back December 5th.

DON’T FALL FOR IT!

Rushford Lutheran Church · November 20, 2024 ·

About every three months scammers try to use the Church Council listing we provide publicly in our newsletter to solicit funds.

A typical message sounds something like:

“This is Pastor. I’m really busy right now. Would you please pick up some gift cards from local stores for our home bound members…”
Or something to that effect.

Please know that the pastor, staff members, or any of the members of Council would never directly solicit funds from members, ask for gift cards, are ask for money in any way using e-mail.

If you check the e-mail addresses carefully you will see that they did not originate from the staff or Council person’s actual e-mail, but from one that appears much like it. It is highly recommended that when you receive such solicitations to block the sender.

Don’t fall for it!
